Until June 4, Murcia and visitors will be able to visit in the Museum of the Cathedral the exhibition commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Virgin of Fuensanta.
An exhibition organized by the Cabildo of the Cathedral that the Bishop of Cartagena inaugurated yesterday afternoon.
Monsignor Lorca Planes thanked the Cabildo for this initiative which includes some of the furnishings of the Virgen de la Fuensanta, among which are the robes that gave Isabel II and the city of Valencia;
Costumes of the Child Jesus of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries;
Or the gold and silver crowns of the Virgin and Child.
Also added to this exhibition are the pectoral of the eighteenth century and the necklace of the nineteenth century that were stolen in the 70's and recovered by the Civil Guard a year ago,
These two pieces will remain permanently exposed in the Museum of the Cathedral.
The Bishop of Cartagena stressed that the Virgin of the Fuensanta has a very special meaning for the Murcia, "we are talking about the Mother, who has collected our tears and joys, which we accompany as his children in romería, living a joyful experience Of faith and hope. "
Monsignor Lorca will preside on Sunday the Solemn Pontifical Mass on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the coronation, which will begin with the chant of the Sixth Hour at 11:45.
The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sundays from 10:00 to 13:00 hours.
