Water resources can be used as a remedy to combat the muscular and skeletal pathologies of patients.
On this subject will address the XIX National Congress of Physiotherapy that the Catholic University of Murcia organizes today, Wednesday, April 26, at 4:00 pm in the Balneario de Archena and will conclude on Friday, April 28.
During the course of the day several experts, trained in the world of physiotherapy, will discuss new water techniques used to remedy muscle and skeletal pain, myotensive techniques-based on osteopathic manipulation-, water streching exercises To stretch muscles and improve mobility of joints in water, and "Ai Chi," which is a relaxation technique that is done in the water medium, similar to Tai-chi.
In addition, they will focus on spa treatments against respiratory diseases, degenerative rheumatism and chronic pain from a psychological point of view.
The event will be attended by specialists such as the President of the Medical Hydrology Society, Francisco Maraver, the Secretary of the International Chair in Medical Hydrology and Hydrotherapy, UCAM, José Luis García, and Deputy Dean of the Degree in Physiotherapy, José Luis Martínez.
