The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture collaborates with the Cultural Association Cruces de Mayo de Cabezo de Torres to celebrate the first regional days of the May Crosses, framed in this traditional party recovered three years ago in the hamlet.
It will be held on 27, 28, 29 and 30 April.
This cultural festival includes activities such as the lectures that will be held next Thursday in the Hall of Acts of the multipurpose building of Cabezo de Torres.
They will include the chroniclers Juan Vivancos, Manuel Herrero Carcelén and Juan Tomás Frutos, as well as documentalist and social sciences researcher Tomás García Martínez.
Likewise, on Friday, April 28, a gala will be held for the awards ceremony of the 2016 photography contest, and performances will be held at the El Cántaro and La Picaza huts.
Also on Sunday morning will be held the second day in skates in the garden of the Constitution of Cabezo de Torres with popular careers, gifts and trophies.
And this same day will be held at 20.30 hours, after the traditional Mass in honor of the Lignus Crucis, a tour of all the Cruces installed in the hamlet where the rocks will stop in each of them to recite their May songs.
Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, who will deliver one of the prizes stated that, "the feast of the Cruces de Mayo is a great example of recovery of the cultural heritage of our Municipality.
With this great party, where you will enjoy many activities, the residents of Cabezo de Torres can share a few days in their hamlet.
