The Local Energy Agency of Murcia (ALEM) has participated in the XVI General Assembly of the Association of Spanish Agencies of Energy Management (Eneragen), which has been held in Cadiz and attended by public agencies and agencies with Competences in the management and execution of the energy policies of different territorial and jurisdictional areas.
Murcia, which has the technical secretary of Eneragen, has presented an advance of the Local Strategy of the Electric Vehicle of the Municipality of Murcia and some of the first measures on which work is already being done to promote the use of electric vehicles in Murcia.
These include the implementation of a network of electric chargers on the public highway, the reservation of places for exclusive use of electric vehicles and the exemption in the payment of the hour to electric vehicles.
Thus, more than 40 institutional representatives from partner agencies have addressed the 2017 action plan and budget that will focus, among other actions, on electric mobility, energy efficiency and self-consumption.
In addition, two new working groups will be set up within the association and coordination and collaboration between public energy agencies and bodies will be strengthened at the expense of the good results achieved so far.
In addition, the Second Meeting of Agencies and Public Organizations in the Field of Energy was held, which has among its objectives to strengthen the contact and the relationship between the institutions working in the same field, making possible new ways of collaboration and coordination between the different Entities that play an active role in saving, energy efficiency and renewable energy in each territory.
The day focused on encouraging the exchange of experiences between participating agencies and public bodies.
