Next Wednesday, coinciding with the commemoration of World Bicycle Day, the City of Murcia and the Federation of Peñas Huertanas have organized a bike ride that will leave at 11 hours from the Glorieta.
The itinerary has 10 kilometers, of low difficulty, and has a duration of about three hours.
The walk will run through the various huertanas barracks installed in the most characteristic gardens and parks of the city, where the participants will have the opportunity to observe demonstrations of games typical of the garden, museums and decoration huertana that expose the different rocks.
The tour will be enlivened with traditional Huerta music.
Finally, the route will conclude with a tasting of products of the earth in a tent of the Place of the Red Cross.
In total, there will be four stops:
- Stop at the Malecón, where you will be able to contemplate a competition of huertanos bowls and an huertan house with its huertano corner.
- Stop in the Garden of the saltpeter to see the Monument to the Orchard.
- Stop at the Circular Square to see two 10-meter-tall orchard figures at the fountain.
- Stop at the Red Cross Square to see the "Huertano Environment", a tribute to the traditional irrigation systems of the orchard of Murcia, where you can visit a stable with animals and a craft oven.
