The Department of Traffic and Public Safety, directed by Lola Sánchez, has developed a complete device for the Spring Festival that includes all the activities that make up the party program paying special attention to those that attract more attendees.
Thus, the Local Police has developed a specific action plan to respond to different events such as control of the route and clearance of obstacles and vehicles, alternative traffic cut and diversion, emergency exits control, fireworks installation monitoring , Opening and closing of the parades, and preventive actions and services in matters of Citizen Security and assistance to people and goods.
The personnel assigned to the different events are as follows:
- Infants: 25 policemen
- Parade and Floral Offering: 10 Policemen
- Procession of the Virgen de la Fuensanta: 10 policemen
- Bando de la Huerta: 356 Policías
- Battle Flower Parade: 50 Policemen
- Parade Arrival of the Sardine: 55 Policemen
- Sardine Testament Parade: 55 Policemen
- Doña Sardina Parade: 35 Policemen
- Burial of the Sardine: 373 Policemen
- Concerts and musical performances: 12 Police
- Tunas: 12 Policemen
It is also agreed with those responsible for the different services that, within the security measures planned for the festivities that so require, are located in the appropriate areas fire and sanitary services.
Bando de la Huerta
During the day of Bando de la Huerta, April 18, 2017, 366 officials of the Local Police of Murcia will serve.
Previously, on April 16, it will proceed to sign with portable disks of prohibited parking from 00.00 hours on April 18, 2017, all the streets through which the parade runs.
A thorough examination of the route will be carried out removing any obstacles that may hinder the parade such as: aerial cables, traffic lights, light signs, containers, etc.
For the total closure of the itinerary, traffic cut-off points will be established, where police vehicles will be used with information panels in El Rollo, down the Autovía with c / Juan de la Cierva and Hospital Infante Bridge, in order to inform the Citizen and to prevent vehicles from accessing the parade route and, at the same time, to channel traffic through the alternative routes provided for this purpose.
These alternative routes are:
SOUTHERN AREA: For the displacements that must be made from East to West and vice versa, the route of connection between Round West and Round South is recommended;
And will establish an alternative route in both directions, which will run through Plaza Ingeniero Juan de la Cierva, C / Industria, C / Pintor P. Flores, C / Pintor Almela Costa and Ronda Sur.
The traffic coming from Avda. Ciudad de Almería will be diverted towards Ronda Oeste.
In any case, it is advisable to use the deterrent parking spaces.
NORTH ZONE: The deviation of connection between East and West by the North will be, in both directions of circulation, the following: Ronda de Levante, Avenida Juan de Borbón, C / Abenarabi, Av. Juan Carlos 1st, Avda. Of the Pines, Avda. Miguel de Cervantes, Plaza de Castilla, Ronda Oeste and San Antón;
And, as another possibility, Ronda de Levante, Avda. Don Juan de Borbón, C / Abenarabi, Av. Juan Carlos 1st, Pza Circular, Primo de Rivera, Ronda Norte.

Service will be established in 19 emergency exits, in order to allow the rapid evacuation of participants or spectators of the parade, as well as facilitate the access of emergency vehicles.
For these exits will have the collaboration of members of Civil Protection.
SURVEILLANCE OF ARTIFICIAL FIRE INSTALLATION
The installation of the fireworks will take place in the Plaza Circular.
This service will be covered by 4 policemen and the zone will be cordoned off a prudential distance by means of the fences that will prevent the access of the general public.
OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE PARADE
In the opening of the parade will be counted on 14 agents, with the purpose of allowing the clearance of the public of the route and facilitate the necessary flow of the act.
In this section collaborate members of the National Police Corps.
The closure will be carried out by a 'Victor' unit whose purpose is to inform at all times the place where the queue of the parade runs and attend to any incident that occurs there.
PREVENTION ACTIONS AND RESPONSE SERVICES
If the development of the parade itself is important, it is more the location of personnel in the so-called shadow zones, responsible for preventing and responding immediately to any actions that are precise in terms of citizen safety and assistance in the itinerary environment.
There are 9 motorized units strategically located in streets or areas that have difficulty accessing vehicles.
These units will be complemented with another 5 units "Víctor", that in a strip of wider extension will cover the whole route, giving the necessary support.
The service will also have a corporal and the direct command of a sergeant.
