The Government Board has approved the project and budget to acquire an interactive model of the Valley and Vega River Segura to be displayed in the Museum of the City.
The objective is to represent the morphology and topography of the Segura valley as it passes through Murcia between the XII-XIII century, a moment of splendor of the irrigation network.
The size of the model, 2.5 by 1.5 meters, adapts to the dimensions of the showroom, allowing its comfortable contemplation.
The size allows the model to be made on a scale of 1 / 10,000, covering a range of 25 kilometers.
The drafting of the mock-up will include a preliminary documentation and research phase and the drafting of the mock-up project.
This document will include a plan situation of the urban nuclei, the thirteenth-century Murcia and the first settlers;
Topographic maps of the Sierra de Carrascoy and the Valley and the Sierra de la Cresta del Gallo;
Irrigation network with ditches and azarbes;
Plans of historic roads and irrigation and ramblas, etc.
The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture will invest in this model more than 14,000 euros
