A score of students-workers of the Joint Employment-Training Program, launched by the City Council and the Employment and Training Service, have worked on the rehabilitation of the surroundings of the Visitor Center of La Luz.
Thus, students of the specialties of auxiliary of gardening, gardening and production of seeds and plants have developed works of maintenance and beautification of gardens and surrounding areas to the archaeological deposit of the center of Visitors of the Light.
The work has consisted in the elimination of weeds using herbicides for the control of weeds, the pruning of trees and shrubs that depleted visibility to the remains and the placement of new foci for nocturnal illumination of the reservoir made by the PMEF components -GJ FICA-Energy Efficiency.
The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture and the SEF seek with these programs the employment insertion of unemployed people through their professional qualification in alternation with the effective work.
Its objective is to improve the employability of the unemployed through their participation in works or services of public interest or social interest, whose realization includes specialties that have the corresponding certificates of professionalism.
