The ex libris, its history, its possibilities, its technique and its meaning, will be the main protagonists of the 1st Workshop The art of ex libris organized by the University of Murcia through its Culture Service.
The workshop will be held on 8, 11, 15 and 18 May in Classroom 2.10 of the La Merced General Assembly, and the registration period will remain open until May 5.
The teacher will be Loreto López Martínez, Art Historian and restorer, and those who enroll in it will be able to discover the history of the stamps or marks of property of books and the delicate miniatures that personalize the libraries and that are in themselves a small work of art.
Likewise, they will be able to know the different techniques for the elaboration of the stamp or the stamp, the image and its meaning, and recognize the symbols to interpret and be able to create the stamp according to the recipient or the theme of the collection.
During the workshop, the students will draw some drawing to make their own ex libris, as well as a tampon with rubber.
