"Reality and virtuality in the audiovisual communication of our present: learning and influence of the media", is the title of a course of the International University of the Sea-Campus Mare Nostrum, summer courses of the UMU, to be held in Murcia Between the 4th and 6th of May.
The course tries to answer questions such as "What is the reality of the Internet?
How do the new virtual formulas of communication work?
What objectives and limits are in the information?
What role do we play as users on the network?
The activity will offer an overview of the current situation of communication: new routes and audiovisual literacy, alternative journalism, virtual advertising, scope of social networks, examples of cinema ...
Aimed at students and interested in these subjects, it will be an eminently comprehensive and practical course, which will address very hot social issues in our globalized world.
The course is directed by Susana Torrado Morales, PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra and professor of Audiovisual Journalism and Theory and History of the Audiovisual Media of the University of Murcia, and by José Hernández Rubio, PhD in Humanities at Carlos University III.
Also present as speaker Samuel Toledano Buendía: Doctor and professor in Information Sciences at the University of La Laguna and journalist in alternative media.
The course will be held in the CEEIM building of the University Campus of Espinardo (next to Campus apartments), has a duration of 25 hours and those who register it may be entitled to 2.5 credits free configuration or 1 CRAU credit.
