During 16 hours, it has been possible to practice more than 60 sports in 110,000 m2, in sports pavilions and swimming pools, as well as gardens and outdoor facilities.
Organized by the City Council and the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia, the second edition has significantly increased the duration of the event, which has attracted many families in a playful and sporting environment.

The surroundings of the Jose Mares Sports Center, Mar Menor Pool, Auditorium and Park of Fofó, Cagigal and Prince of Asturias Pavilions and the sports courts of La Vega, has attracted for almost two days to thousands of Murcia who wanted to participate in the II Festival of Sport.
The initiative, promoted by the City of Murcia and the Union of Sports Federations of the Region of Murcia, has become again a fundamentally family event and has been developed in a playful and sporty environment, with the possibility of participating in numerous exhibitions , Workshops and activities for all audiences.
For 11 hours yesterday and 5 this morning, the Fiesta del Deporte has gathered 60 disciplines in 110,000 m2, both in sports halls and swimming pools, as well as gardens and outdoor facilities in the neighborhood of Santa Maria de Gracia.
With respect to the first edition, celebrated in 2016, the duration has increased significantly, since last year was realized during the morning of Sunday, and the sport modalities have been maintained.
First notions or competitions
During the two days there have been exhibitions, educational workshops for all ages, baptisms of diving, simulators and activities for people with disabilities and competitions of different sports.
Some have had their first contact with the discipline chosen and have received the first basics, while others have taken the opportunity to hold competitions.
In the opinion of the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, who has been present in the two days of the Fiesta, "the experience has returned to be very positive, since has been received again a wide response by the Murcia, Demonstrating that they know how to take advantage of the opportunities available to them "to enjoy these initiatives that allow to reunite the family in a playful, leisure and sporting environment".
