The rector of the University of Murcia (UMU), José Orihuela, and the mayor of Fortuna, José Enrique Gil, yesterday inaugurated the permanent headquarters of university extension that will have the educational institution in this municipality.
The new extension headquarters of the UMU, located in the new Cultural Center of the town, will be directed by the English Philology professor Juan Antonio Cutillas.
The inaugural event, which was attended by the Vice-Rector of Training and Innovation, Pedro Miralles, included a conference by the academic director of the University School of Tourism, Ángel Pascual, and the performance of the University Choir of Murcia.
