The mountainous region of Les Aurès, located in Algeria, will have an exhibition at the Catholic University that will open tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28, in the Chapter Hall at 12 o'clock in the morning.
The photographic exhibition, entitled 'Aurès, heritage, memory and resistance' by photographer Kaïs Djilali, will be exhibited in the upper cloister of the Campus of Los Jerónimos until April 6, and has had the collaboration of the Association of Friends of Megdhacen, Which is dedicated to promoting the heritage of this region of Algeria through sports events, among other events.
The opening of the exhibition will be attended by the Vice-Rector of International Relations, Pablo Blesa, the president of the Association of Friends of Medghacen, Azzedine Guerfi, the director of the degrees in Architecture and Engineering of Building, Juan Roldán, and also The one of the professor and curator of the exhibition, Francisco Javier López.
Thanks to this exhibition, the culture of the area 'Les Aurès' where the remains of the Roman city Timgad, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, will be revealed. Emperor Trajan built it in the year 100 AD and is a perfect example of classic city.
