The Minister of the Presidency, María Dolores Pagán, presented today the poster of Holy Week of Torreagüera, a composition made by Fina Masa from a photograph of 'The Glorious Angel over the empty Sepulcher', which is author Raquel Ramos.
The event was attended by the president of the Guild of Torreagüera, Pepi Pagán, presidents and representatives of the local brotherhoods, members of the Municipal Board of the hamlet and the preacher of Holy Week 2016, Maria Dolores Martinez de la Vieja.
The minister, who will announce this year's announcement on April 2 in the parish church, said that 120 years of Holy Week processions in Torreagüera have been celebrated, and she underlined the motto chosen for this event: 'More alive than Never "," which is perfectly in keeping with the image that the poster illustrates, but also with the vocation to innovate and grow, always respecting the traditional ways of representing the Passion. "
María Dolores Pagán praised the program of events and work carried out by the cofradias, in collaboration with the neighborhood council and the parish, and stated that "it is the best way to continue betting on the declaration of Fiesta of Regional Tourist Interest."
Among the events scheduled during Holy Week in Torreagüera are the day of the Nazarene children, a concert commemorating the 120 anniversary and the premiere of the new image and throne of San Miguel on Easter Sunday.
