930 children immersed in situations of special difficulty will be able to improve their perspective with the development of four intervention programs approved today by the Government Board, at the proposal of the Council of Social Rights, directed by Conchita Ruiz.
Specifically, these are leisure and leisure projects to promote equal opportunities for children who are in a situation of social vulnerability, support for schooling - promoted by the Ciudad de Murcia center - and for access by minors In social risk to complementary activities - in this case promoted by the Murcia Sur center.
They are, together, actions promoted from the area of Social Rights to get almost a thousand children to "get out of the circle of poverty."
Childhood is one of the priority attention groups of the City Council, which carries out different preventive, protective and intervention actions in situations of social exclusion that have a negative impact on them.
From the Department of Social Rights will carry out different activities for leisure and free time of 400 children, through activities to celebrate the day of children's rights, against racism, book, etc. ., Directed to the educational occupation of the leisure and the free time of minors and their families in situation of social exclusion.
The project "Including", also promoted from the City Center of Murcia, will target 150 children who are included in the family intervention plan or who face a situation of social difficulty or risk, thus ensuring equal opportunities.
In this context, educational leisure activities will be carried out, which is shown as a powerful tool of work complementary to formal education.
The educational activities developed by children in their free time appear as an alternative that compensate and complement other socializing areas such as school and family.
From this point of view, they can provide children with enriching experiences that meet their needs for affection and facilitate their social integration in the environment where they live.
Project Lift
In addition, another program will provide school material to 250 children with educational or socio-economic deficiencies that may lead to situations of social risk.

Its purpose is to provide children at social risk with the basic school equipment and equipment to facilitate their integration into the school.
To do this, they will be given the necessary material to carry out the tasks of their school level and support families in acquiring the equipment that allows them to participate in the activities of the school.
