The Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) has invested the President and founder of Nortia Corporation, Manuel Lao Hernández, Doctor Honoris Causa in recognition of his career and contribution to the business world, both in Spain and Latin America, highlighting its entrepreneurial and innovative.

Born in Doña María (Almería) in 1944, Manuel Lao founded CIRSA in 1978, whose growth and international expansion has been constant in these 39 years, becoming today the largest company in Spain and Latin America in the gaming and leisure sector.
In the 90s he created the Corporate University CIRSA with the objective of ensuring the correct training of the Corporation's employees and their new incorporations in the different levels and techniques.
