The University of Murcia (UMU) participates in the Conference on Responsibilities for Environmental Damages that, in its third edition, have been inaugurated this Wednesday in the Bar Association.
The directors of the meeting are Juan Manuel Acosta, from the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura, and Santiago Alvarez, professor of the Faculty of Law and secretary general of the UMU.
Throughout the Conference, which will continue tomorrow, issues such as environmental damage, environmental regulations and procedures, environmental damage and society and the police, custody and environmental jurisprudence will be analyzed through conferences and round tables.
The opening session was attended by the dean of the Murcia Bar Association, Francisco Martínez-Escribano;
The superior prosecutor of the Region of Murcia Justice, José Luis Díaz Manzanera;
The secretary general of the University, and the Dean of the Faculty of Law, David Lorenzo Morillas.
The morning session, Thursday, the 23rd, also includes the delivery, at 13:30 hours, of the Environmental Awards, which this year have fallen, among other agencies, in the Faculty of Biology of the UMU.
