Fernando Ballesta Yagüe, IES Infante Don Juan Manuel (Murcia);

Andrés Torres Sánchez, from IES Jiménez de la Espada (Cartagena), and Antonio Díaz García, from the La Merced-Fuensanta Marist College (Murcia), in this order, have been the winners of the 22nd Chemistry Olympiad of the Region.

In this competition, organized in the Region by the Chemical Association of Murcia and the Territorial Section of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry in collaboration with the University of Murcia (UMU) and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), a total of 138 students from 31 secondary schools.

The first two classified will represent the Region of Murcia in the National Chemistry Olympiad, to be held in Madrid during the last days of April.

The award ceremony, which also granted fourteen prizes to other participants, took place in the Faculty of Chemistry of the UMU with the presence of representatives of the convening entities.
