On Thursday, March 23, the book "Don Antonio Chacón, Carlos Martín Ballester Collection" will be presented at the University of Murcia, dedicated to whoever is considered the greatest figure of flamenco since recorded records of this cante, 120 years.
The presentation will be at 19 hours at the Antonio Soler Aula de la Merced University of UMU, and will participate in the editor and researcher Carlos Martín Ballester, writer Guillermo Castro Buendia and researcher Pedro Fernández Riquelme.
The act will feature a small flamenco performance by singer Nicolás Pelegrín and guitarist Joaquín López "Quini".

Carlos Martín Ballester is a scholar of the old discography, mainly the flamenco.
It has managed to gather the largest collection of 78 rpm records and phonograph cylinders.
Directs the blog The Musical Archaeologist, and is founder and president of the Flamenco Circle of Madrid.
The jerezano Antonio Chacón is the greater flamenco figure, at least since the music began to be recorded at the end of century XIX.
The work "Don Antonio Chacón, Collection Carlos Martín Ballester" collects 57 cantes (53 from discs and 4 from wax cylinders).
The 3 CDs are accompanied by a book of 288 pages with abundant photographic material, part of it unpublished, in which the figure of Chacón is analyzed from different perspectives, preceded by a foreword by Manuel Ríos Ruiz.
