The Municipal Socialist Group has today accompanied users of Line 28 of buses, which links Sangonera la Verde and Murcia, to deliver 500 signatures to demand from the City Council improvements that avoid the current conditions of overcrowding, leaks and, above all, increase The frequency of the journey, which lasts 45 minutes.
Councilor Juan Vicente Larrosa, who has accompanied several users to register the signatures, has stated that "the Government team has a subject pending for decades with public transport, and the situation that is denounced today is just another sample That in the times that we are with so much technology with so much message aimed at reducing the use of the private vehicle to bet on a sustainable city does not believe the PP and therefore does nothing to improve this service.
In addition, the councilman adds that "it is intolerable for Line 28 users to take 45 minutes to reach their destination when this journey has been made and can be done in less than half an hour" and recalls that the deterioration of the Line Began with the cuts of the year 2012. Since then the frequencies have been reduced, the routes have been lengthened because the bus stops at all stops on the El Palmar road;
At peak times travelers are crowded and when it rains they have to open the umbrellas, plus they can not sit because it is all wet.
"We are facing users who come to Murcia to work, many of them in the domestic service, where the hour is paid at 10 euros, so, apart from all these problems must be added the cost of the bus, especially because There is no transshipment bonus, which we have so many times claimed and that helps to reduce the cost of transport when it is necessary to take more than one bus ", explained Larrosa.
Likewise, the council has also echoed another of the complaints of users who today have denounced the precarious conditions of Line 28 and is the fact that if you do not give time to catch the bus at 18 hours you have to wait until The 19 hours.
In addition, "if the first bus leaves at 7:15 p.m., the person who goes to work at 8 o'clock does not arrive", says the mayor, who describes this situation as "absolutely third world".
Likewise, these users have reported that "while the bus is stopping on the road to El Palmar, there have been stops of Sangonera la Verde, such as the neighborhood of Las Cabreras.
For all this, the PSOE insists on the need for the City Council to assume the management of the pedantic lines and to create a single ticket.
