The Governing Board has approved the specifications to acquire an unmanned aerial system piloted remotely for the Central Cartography and Urban Information Service.
This cartographic production tool will be used for localized areas, not for large extensions, that are necessary for the service, which will allow updating the cartography that is available.
It is a totally autonomous equipment that does not require other external services, thanks to which it will be possible to carry out the whole process of cartographic production until the final product that is the cartography and orthophotography.
In this way the following works can be done:
Quality controls of cartographic products contracted by said Service.
Photogrammetric surveys for updating municipal cartography.
Production of cartography of certain areas of the municipality.
Generation of Orthophoto of localized zones.
The aircraft will have to take off and vertical landing with multi-rotor, navigation equipment, ground control station and planning software, cameras and sensors incorporated, photogrammetry software, batteries and accessories necessary for the correct operation of the equipment.
The City Council will invest 36,300 euros in this new system that will have to be supplied within 10 weeks of its award.
