Before the demonstrations of Councilman Luis Alberto Bermejo the Coordinating Council of Now Murcia we want to highlight:
- That Mr. Bermejo in the explanations he has offered publicly has not provided a single document that contradicts his current partnership with the exjefe of Urban Planning, Joaquín Peñalver, and other prominent real estate developers involved in serious cases of urban corruption.
At no point did Mr Bermejo inform the Municipal Group or the Now Murcia party about the partners he had in those companies, nor did the fact that one of those partners was a director of the private part of Emuasa (the Hidrogea company).
- Mr Bermejo has not explained why he continues today in these companies, keeping these company relations active.
- Mr Bermejo has not explained the public money debts that different administrations have been demanding from these companies, as it appears in the Official State Gazette and in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia.
- Mr. Bermejo has confirmed his corporate relations with one of the directors of the private part of Emuasa (the Hidrogea company), beneficiary of million-dollar public money contracts.
For all this, Now Murcia is confirmed in the statement issued yesterday, understanding that in the person of Mr. Bermejo and in his behavior concurring circumstances that are incompatible with the ethical principles of Now Murcia and with its political action, Fight against corruption and against business and clientelistic schemes, as well as a requirement of transparency, good governance and exemplary public management, a requirement that we share with our party, our friend, at our regional and state level.
Lastly, Murcia now neither enters nor enters into personal quarrels or internal disputes of other political organizations, and considers it deplorable to use such arguments to divert attention from the specific issues outlined above and to which Mr. Bermejo eschews .
