The City Council, through the Department of Development, led by Roque Ortiz, will illuminate green the facade of the Moneo building to celebrate St. Patrick, thus joining the #olaverde, the world event in which dozens of monuments will wear this color .
Thus, the special lighting will be held during the night of Thursday morning and Friday, from 19.30 to 1 hours approximately.
With this initiative, made on the proposal of Tourism of Ireland and the ambassador of this country, Murcia joins other Spanish cities that will illuminate its most emblematic buildings such as the Magic Fountain of Montjuic, the Twin Fountains of the Plaza de Cataluña the Fountain of Paseo Of Gracia, in Barcelona;
The Puerta de Alcala and the Fuente de Cibeles, in Madrid, the Tower of Hercules in La Coruña, the Gran Casino de Santander, the Town Hall in Malaga, the Etopia Building in Zaragoza, the Cistercian Valladolid, the Town Hall of Tortosa (Tarragona) and the Fountain of Santa Eulália (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat).
Dozens of world-renowned icons, including the Coliseum in Rome, the Great Wall of China, the Tower of Pisa, the London Eye in London and the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro will once again light up a year later in green On this holiday.
