The Department of Employment, Tourism and Culture has opened the deadline to participate in the XII edition of photography competition 'Murcia.
Ethnography, Culture and Traditions' organized by the Molinos del Rio space and whose objective is to encourage artistic creativity, document and disseminate traditions and collect existing photographs in family archives.
This edition maintains the two modalities of current photography and old photography, and a third where a specific theme is addressed: The garden, a construction of man.
Persons resident in Spain over 18 years of age may present themselves to this competition.
Each participant may submit up to three photographs that will be unpublished and have not been awarded, recognized or selected in other events, or in previous editions of this.
In the modality 'The garden, a construction of man must be photographed the action of man in a land as the garden, with agricultural works, landscape, with life in the house of orchard with all its manifestations many of them belonging to Intangible cultural heritage (the forms of life, social practices, techniques and mentalities of the various individuals and groups of a community).
In the current photography section, recent photographs on ethnographic heritage will be made, while in historical photography a collection of old photos from family archives that constitute ethnographic documents of interest will have to be made.
Photographs can be made with analogue or digital camera or any other digital device and will be presented in black and white or color, on photographic paper.
It is mandatory that all photographs submitted to the contest, also be presented in digital format (on disk, pendrive ...).
The term of admission will end on Friday, September 22.
