The City Council, through Local Police, Fire and Road Cleaning Services, Parks and Gardens and Industrial Services, has deployed a special device to minimize the effects of wind, with gusts of more than 50 kilometers per hour, and rainfall in the town.
Thus, Local Police has proceeded to close to the traffic the Kingdom Avenue of Murcia to the height of the ravine of Churra, the RM 611 between El Palmar and San Ginés, Young Futura, the tunnel of Beniaján, the R19 in La Tercia and the rambla Of the Garruchal to its passage by the avenue of San Javier in the Secano.
Also the Park and Gardens Service, which has closed the pedestrian traffic in the garden of Floridablanca, has collaborated with Firefighters in the removal of different trees and branches that have fallen in the area of ​​Atalayas, Ronda de Garay, May Day, Avenue Juan de Borbón, Floridablanca, Plaza Circular, Paseo Marqués de Corvera, Abenarabi, Santa Maria de Gracia, Sucina and Llano de Brujas, among others.
None of these trees and branches has caused personal injury.
In addition, firefighters work on the removal of posters and other elements displaced by the wind while the Road Cleaning Service is relocating containers.
The agile intervention and the effective collaboration between the different municipal services has allowed to act quickly before the different warnings derived from the storm.
