The President of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, received today at the San Esteban Palace, the representatives of the Assembly of the National Union of Party Organizations (UNDEF), which will be held on 10, 11 and 12 March in City of Murcia.
With this in mind, the eight towns that make up the area VI (Los Alcázares, Abanilla, Archena, Cieza, Caravaca de la Cruz, Santomera, Jumilla and Murcia) have come together to organize this event dedicated to the Moors and Christians Festivals.
All the towns will be represented, as much in their tourist attractions as in their gastronomy and festejos, in some stands located in the square of Santo Domingo of Murcia, in which Saturday will take place a tasting of typical products.
The National Assembly will take place Sunday morning at Teatro Romea.
In November 2016, UNDEF elected Pepa Prats as its new national president, who succeeded Francisco López.
The president of the Community stressed that these entities that organize the Moors and Christians "have for many years made a commendable work to promote a holiday that attracts thousands of visitors and those in the region we are proud."
Together with these entities, he added, "we work to keep our traditions alive through parties that also generate employment and improve regional tourism data."
