The woman was on the other side of the fencing fence of the bridge that links the center of Murcia with the hamlet of Albatalia, perched on it and looking at the void with the intention of throwing themselves on the vehicles that circulated in the direction of Cartagena
Last Wednesday afternoon, an inspector of the National Police, who was out of service, avoided the suicide of a young girl who wanted to jump onto the A-30 motorway from a bridge.
The agent was driving in his private vehicle to his home in the company of his two minor children, when he climbed the bridge that crosses the motorway through the interconnection linking the center of Murcia with the hamlet of La Albatía, observed the presence of A person leaning on the highway on the vehicles that march in the direction of Cartagena.
The girl was on the other side of the metal railing, her feet resting on the low side of the railing and holding her arms as she stared into the void.
Because of his body position and his state of nervousness he had clear signs of wanting to jump into the void, so the policeman stopped his vehicle and surprisingly grabbed the woman, preventing him from falling.
Immediately a struggle began between the two of them as the woman shouted "GIVE ME, SWEET ME, I WANT TO GO, GIVE ME ALL EQUAL".
Holding it at all times, the policeman managed to move the girl to the pedestrian area of the bridge, where he immobilized her as she kept shouting and trying to jump over the fence.
At the same time other cars stopped to see the situation and the police required them to call 091 and send more agents, in order to move the woman and restore traffic on the road.
In the place were represented both agents of the National Police and agents of the Local Police of Murcia.
The latter transferred the girl to the Reina Sofía Hospital in order to be provided with adequate health care.
