Conferences, debates, thematic exhibitions, cinema, theater, workshops, medieval markets or competitions are some of the activities that will be developed in the municipality of Mula in an initiative that began last February and will run through June.
Nearly forty activities with which it is intended to celebrate the 1st edition of the Festival of History, an initiative that emerged at the University of Bologna eleven years ago and has become a focus of tourist attraction in the Italian country, being imported To other European cities.
The activity tries to spread the culture and the heritage, under the motto "The lúdico through the time".
In the Region of Murcia is centralized in the Municipality of Mula, through a large series of activities, organized by the Vice-Rectorate of Training and Innovation of the University of Murcia and the Permanent Headquarters of the UMU of Mula, as well as the city council of the location;
Foundation of Center for Historical Studies and Local Research in the Region of Murcia.
The activity is led by the professors of the University of Murcia María Martínez Martínez and Raquel Sánchez Ibáñez, and coordinated by Jerónimo Rueda and Josefina Zapata Crespo.
Jerónimo Rueda, coordinator of the initiative, says that the organizers of this event in the Region of Murcia share with colleagues at the University of Bologna "the conviction that knowledge of history can serve to live better the present and to project with more Wisdom the future ".
The presentation of the central week of the festival of history will take place on Monday, March 13 with the conference "The history of the party in medieval Murcia", by María Martínez, UMU professor.

Among the academic events, will be held on 15 and 16 two round tables in the same place and at the same time:
Day 15: "The documentary heritage of the Marquesado de los Vélez", by Francisco Chacón, Isabel García Díaz, Domingo Beltrán, José Boluda and José Antonio Martínez.
Day 16 "Marquises of Vélez: Lords of vassals and ministers of the Hispanic monarchy" by Juan Hernandez Franco, Juan González Castaño, Dietmar Roth and Raimundo A. Rodríguez Pérez.
On the 23rd, the conference "The Hispanic Monarchy and its Exiles" will be delivered, by José Javier Ruiz Ibáñez, Archive Room at 19:30.

On March 14 begins a cycle of historical Cineforum that will include the screening of four films to be screened at the Lope de Vega Theater in the locality:

On March 19, the awards ceremony of the "Mula y su castrillo" drawing competition and the "Pobladores de los muleñas de los tierras tierra" comic contest will be presented.
They will be in the Hall of events of the City of Mula at 11:30, and at 12, reading the manifesto "Mula for its castle," from the balcony of the town hall.
The exhibition 2 "Women in the University of Murcia: presence, visibility and participation" will also continue until March 26 in the hall of the Municipal Public Library.
