The University of Murcia (UMU) today celebrated the award ceremony of the First Competition for Campaign on Effective Equality between Women and Men (2016-2017), in the activities organized to mark International Women's Day.
The event, which was led by the rector of the institution, José Orihuela, at the Espinardo campus Social Center, has included a concert for Viola and Piano by FA Hoffmeister, in charge of the students of the Master in Music Research of the UMU Marta Micol Bachiller and Sara Tables Married.
The contest has been promoted by the Unit for Equality between Women and Men of UMU, directed by Professor Eva Rubio.
Also, the General Library María Moliner of the educational institution has inaugurated an exhibition of painting by the artist Adela Sastre.
The sample, composed of heads of women made in mixed technique and in oils, will be exposed in the Library until next March 30.
