The third face-to-face session of the Master's Degree in Spanish Military Law that the Catholic University of Murcia imparts was the master class of the Director of Legal Counsel of the NATO Operations Command, Andrés Muñoz.
The lesson took place in Madrid where the adviser explained to the students the international threats that this military organization faces.
During the course of the class, Muñoz stressed the importance of the right to self-defense, which recognizes the Charter of the United Nations, to defend against terrorist attacks.
Likewise, Lt. Col. Josh Shuey of the United States intervened in this class to explain the operations that NATO is currently developing around the world.
"These presentations constitute an important step towards closer ties with the Legal Counsel of NATO", commented the director of this official Master, Captain Juan Carlos de la Cerra.
In addition, he said that they are working to ensure that "operational military law sessions take place at the Allied Command Operations Headquarters in Shape, Belgium."
Finally, the students visited the Parachute Brigade in Paracuellos del Jarama (Madrid) where they learned about the work of the Security Forces.
