The Municipal Board of Torreagüera will celebrate on Sunday March 12, in the restaurant of Rincón Huertano, the first charitable meal in favor of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
This act is organized jointly between the Municipal Board of Torreagüera and the Local Board of the association of this hamlet, and has already confirmed the attendance of more than 500 people, whose money will go to this association that funds research on this disease And offers support to families and affected.
This food will be attended by the pedestrian mayor of the Popular Group, Fulgencio Perona, who reported that "as citizens we have the duty to collaborate and cooperate, so with this food we can all participate and play our part in the fight against cancer."
Solidarity as a sign of identity
This is not the only solidarity action that is carried out from this hamlet.
The Municipal Board of Torreagüera will organize next Saturday 11 March a great charity gala in which the attendees will be able to enjoy a children's play, musical style of the Dog Patrol, to help the Holy Week of the hamlet.
The donation will be 5 euros and will be celebrated at 12.00 hours in the sports hall Miravete of the urbanization Monteagrande de Torreagüera.
After this gala, will be organized a tombola with more than 200 gifts whose collection will be destined for the same purpose.
Perona declared that "from the Municipal Board we want to promote actions such as this one which reflects the generosity and commitment of our neighbors who collaborate in such important matters as the Semana Santa de Torreagüera, which is part of our cultural heritage."
