The result of the works will provide a fixed photo of the current urban planning moment of the municipality.
The City of Murcia, through the Department of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, directed by Antonio Navarro Corchón, has allocated an amount of 39,869 euros for this action
The Government Board has given the green light to the award of the digital photogrammetric flight service that allows to analyze an area of 35,000 hectares of the municipality of Murcia corresponding to urban and urban areas for the revision of the General Plan of Murcia (PGOU).
The new municipal cartography specifically - 10cm / pixel and at scale 1/1000 - will analyze the development and fulfillment of the planning forecasts and will serve as a basis for the elaboration of the criteria to be followed in the planning of the municipality.
To carry out the photogrammetric flight, the City of Murcia, through the Department of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, directed by Antonio Navarro Corchón, has allocated an amount of 39,869 euros.
Concretely it is going to be analyzed through this action all the urban helmet and all the building land.
The digital photogrammetric flight consists of installing a digital photogrammetric camera whose optics and metric parameters are defined with a level of precision much higher than the commercial cameras to use.
Next to this, another instrumentation is placed in order to determine the position of the airplane at the moment in which the photograph is taken to stabilize the camera and compensate the movement of the airplane.
Photogrammetry has become one of the main ways to incorporate information into a map or a GIS (Geographic Information System) system, due, among other reasons, to the speed of execution and precision.
This action is part of the joint collaboration agreement between the City of Murcia and UPCT, which will provide an objective diagnosis of how the municipality has evolved territorially and plan its future growth in a sustainable, orderly and adapted to the new social reality And population.
The cartographic flight of the whole territory - the last one took place in 2013 - will provide a fixed photo of the current urban moment, a work that will benefit not only municipal technicians and university researchers, but the whole society, That reliable and up-to-date information can be accessed.
Once the new digital cartography and the planning dump have been carried out, a participatory process will be initiated open to the different social agents, in which the criteria for the revision of the PGOU will be established, according to the defined development model.
