At its meeting this morning, the Governing Body approved the file on the breakdown of the budgetary applications corresponding to Chapter VI, investments, of the Municipal Boards of Districts for the 2017 financial year.
In this way, the 2016 budget has been extended in proportion to the total amount of Chapter VI that each Board had budgeted in 2016, thus ensuring that the lack of budgets of 2017 does not impede the investments of Municipal Boards.
What is intended with this agreement is that the 68 Municipal Boards have immediate funding to undertake works and improvement work in their villages, pending the approval of the municipal budgets of the current year.
The total amount is 1,422,615 euros.
It should be remembered that the Municipal Boards managed in 2016 an investment budget of 5,050,474 euros, which was a 42% increase over 2015.
This extension of the budget seeks to continue working on improving the infrastructure of all districts and, therefore, increase the quality of life of their neighbors.
The municipal boards themselves manage this budget prioritizing the actions and carrying out those works that are of maximum interest for the neighbors of each locality
