Directed by Helen Feear-Papio, Professor of Contemporary Spanish Theater of the College of the Holy Cross, Massachusetts, United States, will be held between March 3 and 5 at the University of Murcia a bilingual theater workshop.
Helen Freear-Papio teaches contemporary theater courses in the Spanish language, focusing on topics such as lack of communication, historical memory and the voice's claim.
In his university he directs a group of theater destined to spread the Spanish theater contemporary like bilingual practice.
Alongside her, they will teach the course Kyler Canastra, graduated from the College of the Holy Cross, philologist, translator and actor, who currently holds a master's degree in linguistics at the Complutense University, and María Cantuel, a professional film, television and theater actress in Spain.
The Bilingual Theater Workshop is organized by the Communication and Culture Service of the University of Murcia in collaboration with the Spanish Department of the College of the Holy Cross, University of Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
The activity takes place in three sessions: the first one exercises the texts from the translation, the second works on the scene the texts in the two languages: Spanish and English and, finally, a sample-representation of the result of the work is performed ( Sunday) open to the public.

Helen Freear-Papio, passion for theater
Helen Freear-Papio's love of theater and the eagerness to discover other cultures probably began in her early childhood when, as a child, she walked through the woods, fields and meadows outside Canterbury, in England, where he grew up.
A passion that only grew when, accompanied by her parents, both teachers - Freear-Papio, she visited ancient castles and cathedrals and remote villages of the French countryside during the long academic summers.
After emigrating to the United States for paternal labor issues, everything seemed to indicate that Freear-Papio's profession would end up being in the economic sphere, but, at the University of Granada, he asserted that he had a magical encounter with the language and, above all , With the Spanish literature.
It was a question thrown at his Spanish Theater teacher, which, in the end, would lead him to opt for the dedication that has marked his life since: "Why are not we reading any work of women in his class? He commented on the general perplexity.
The teacher invited her to work on the subject to correct this deficiency, and ended up becoming a specialist in the contemporary Spanish drama of women from the 1980s to the present.
"My love for the theater, both written and represented, permeates all my classes and shapes my teaching style," he says.
For three days, Helen Freear-Papio will lead the second edition of the bilingual theater workshop organized by the University of Murcia.
