The contracting table, presided over by Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, and attended by representatives of municipal political groups, has awarded this morning two projects that will improve lighting in different urban centers of the municipality.
Thus, in the coming weeks will begin the renovation work of public lighting in the Infante neighborhood which will consist of the installation of 270 new luminaires with LED technology that will allow an annual economic saving of 79.11% and a reduction of 150 tons of CO2
At Avenida Infante don Juan Manuel 27 light points will be renewed, both the column, as well as the luminaire and the basements, maintaining the channeling and existing electrical lines.
The column that is installed is the same as those installed in the Coastal, white with blue arms.
LED luminaires have a light output of more than 11,000 lumens with an energy consumption of around 100 W.
In the main avenues, San Juan de la Cruz, Pío Baroja, Vicente Aleixandre and Santa Joaquina de Vedruna, will be installed 82 new luminaires with a yield of more than 14,000 lumens and an approximate power of 120 W.
In the rest of the vials (Gabriel Miró, Monte Carmelo Avenue, Luis Fernandez, Miguel Hernandez, Antonio González Conte, Alberto Sevilla, Lope de Vega, Jorge Manrique, Rubén Darío, Miguel Fernández, Ramón del Valle Inclán, Poet Andres Bolarín, Mozart, Lope de Rueda, Juan Ramón Jiménez, Luis de Góngora and Carmen Conde) will install the same luminary of the Avenida Infante don Juan Manuel, of 11,000 lumens and 100 W, in a total of 169 units
In this action, which will be executed by Electromur, the Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, will invest 137,543 euros and the execution period is 6 months.
Likewise, the Recruitment Bureau has awarded today's work to reinforce and improve public lighting in Calle Mayor, Finca Villar, La Murta Road, Luis Fontes Pagan Square and Juan Carlos I Avenue in Corvera.
The proposal consists of the implementation of luminaires with LED technology on metallic poles and on arms with aerial installation.
In addition, there will be a remodeling of two existing command centers to provide them with a remote management system.
In total 53 units with a power of 2,300 W will be installed when the current one is of 4,600 W.
Annual energy consumption will fall from 16,600 kWh to 5,400 kWh, representing a saving of 67% and a reduction of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere at 5.5 tonnes per year.
Ferrovial Servicios will carry out these works, in which the City Council will invest 32,888 euros, within a period of 4 months.
