The Animal Welfare Commission, chaired by Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, held a meeting this morning with representatives of all political groups of the City of Murcia, animal protectors and related and institutions concerned in this matter, to Finalize the approval of the municipal ordinance on the protection and possession of pet animals.

The Commission has also analyzed the improvement of the relationship with the protection societies to promote associationism in this area and to approve a public call for grants to which the associations working in this field can access.
Likewise, the meeting has addressed the possibility of increasing, designing and developing new awareness campaigns to seek the necessary collaboration of citizens through the dissemination of educational programs.
