The Catholic University and the College of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia have initialed this morning, at the Campus of Los Jerónimos, a collaboration agreement which includes, among other actions, that the Network of Pharmacies of the Region of Murcia will be Evaluated and accredited by the UCAM through its International Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility.
José Luis Mendoza, president of the Catholic University, said that this agreement is "a great novelty and can serve as an impetus to spread in the rest of Spain."
He also stressed that "this agreement will strengthen solidarity campaigns with the College of Pharmacists."
For her part, Isabel Tovar, president of this professional college, said that the Network of Pharmacies in the Region of Murcia is already working on different actions in CSR as it is "the contribution to environmental sustainability and equal pay between men and women".
Víctor Meseguer, director of the International Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility at the University, said: "This initiative represents the most important CSR promotion network in the entire Autonomous Community of Murcia."
Victor Meseguer coordinates this project with María Fuensanta Martínez, Dircom of the Official Association of Pharmacists of the Region of Murcia.
In the presentation were also present professors of the Degree in Pharmacy of the Catholic University and representatives of this professional college.
It is worth mentioning that as a result of this agreement, members of Pharmacy may enjoy a 15% discount on the registration of the postgraduate degrees that are offered through the International Chair in CSR of the UCAM.
