The municipal plenum this morning unanimously approved a motion to support the legislative reform promoted by the President of the Council of Transparency, José Molina, in order to endow the same with the powers over local entities requesting, in addition, that their processing Parliamentary meeting be held as soon as possible.
According to the text approved, the political groups in the City of Murcia work on a draft Transparency Ordinance with the collaboration of the Council of Transparency of the Region of Murcia, in addition to other social agents, who was asked to provide their Suggestions on the draft of the new regulations.
Thus, "the Transparency Council of the Region of Murcia can not issue a report regarding the draft Transparency Ordinance by not having direct powers over the Local Entities of the Region" in accordance with the provisions of Title VI (Transparency In the Good Government) of Law 12/2014, of December 16, on Transparency and Citizen Participation.
Therefore, all municipal political groups have agreed that "it is necessary that, as in other Autonomous Communities, the independent control bodies in the area of ​​transparency should have powers over local entities and the provisions of good governance."
