Rincón de Seca will host from 17 to 19 March the most extensive and innovative Carnival program in its history
The Rincón de Seca carnival stopped being held in 2006 and was resumed in 2014 when a small group of young people, today the Culture and Festivities Association of Rincón de Seca, decided to organize a competition outside of carnival in which the comparsas They will dispute an economic prize, receiving to 5 comparsas.
In 2015, 12 comparsas were registered, and already last year was so demand that the deadline had to be closed 2 months before the celebration, receiving 17 comparsas and leaving 23 waiters on the waiting list.
Therefore, in this edition, which will have more acts and awards, 35 comparsas have been selected for which will be the IV Competition of Comparsas, the great parade of Rincon de Seca held always 18 days after Ash Wednesday and 18 days before Easter, which is already known as the last carnival of Spain.
The comparsas participating in this parade, which will be held on March 19, will have to parade down Calle Hernández Muñoz where the jury will stand, the costumes, the way of parading, the make-up, the dances ...
Three will be the cash prizes (300 euros to the first, 150 to the second and 50 to the third), plus the trophy to the three classified.
This year as a novelty creates the popular vote so that all those who attend can vote for their favorite comparsa who will be awarded 100 euros.
According to forecasts, more than 1,000 people will be paraded.
Another novelty will take place on March 18 with a choreography competition to be held on the main street of the hamlet where 17 choreographic groups will compete for the 150 euros of the first prize.
On Saturday, March 18, the flags of the participating groups will arrive in the grand parade on Sunday and the farewell party of the carnival will be celebrated.
Finally, on March 17 will be dedicated to the smallest, with free inflatables, sings games, and the performance of children's dance group of the hamlet in the garden of the social center
