The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesús Pacheco, received this morning from the hands of the Association of Painters of Murcia (Apimur) a picture of the tower of the Cathedral prepared jointly by Eight of its members.
The work combines different techniques such as watercolor, oil, acrylic and pen, as the canvas was divided into 12 segments that were painted by each of the artists and united once the work is completed.
This painting was created by Guillermina Sánchez Oró, Domingo Martínez Garrido, Gelu Pérez, Kunka Andonova, Eugenio Pérez, José Miguel Muńoz, Cristina Hidalgo Eugenio Pérez and Juan Heredia.
"The work brings together one of the most emblematic elements of our city, such as the tower of La Catedral, and has been developed corally by this group of Murcia painters, who have expressed individually their own vision of this unique environment, This original composition the creativity and ingenuity overflowing Murcia artists, "said José Ballesta, who thanked the donation to the collective Apimur.
The Association of Painters of Murcia is a non-profit organization whose aim is to boost the cultural and artistic life of Murcia, as well as to carry out social works in the region.
