Activities of educational reinforcement and other activities of a playful and formative nature will be developed in Monteagudo, Raal, Cobatillas, Las Lumbreras, Campillo, Llano de Brujas and Santa Cruz.
More than 4,000 children will benefit from these projects
The Governing Board has approved to allocate 126,572 euros for projects aimed at the care of more than 4,000 children and groups at risk of social exclusion.
Specifically, the City of Murcia, through the Department of Social Rights, directed by Conchita Ruiz Caballero, will invest 30,000 euros in the purchase of transport tickets for activities with children and people at risk of social exclusion, in order to Guaranteeing the attendance of children at social risk, and accompanying adults, in aspects related to their schooling, leisure and leisure activities, summer schools, assistance to therapeutic treatments, training activities and the like.
In addition, an amount of 15,000 euros will finance various activities with children and adolescents, in situation or risk of social exclusion, to facilitate school integration and the educational process of children and their parents, and support leisure and leisure activities .
Likewise, the green light has been given to the expenditure of 40,000 euros to finance the incorporation of minors with whom social services professionals participate in various summer activities with children and adolescents in situations of risk or social exclusion.
Thus, summer school places and camps managed by various entities will be offered for the development of social, recreational and educational activities for children in socially disadvantaged contexts during vacation periods.
Another 13,500 euros is earmarked for the commemorative week of children's rights, which will count on the collaboration of different groups, voluntary organizations and monitors specialized in work with children, who will hold various workshops.
At the same time, various activities will be carried out in schools, such as preparatory activities, exhibition of works, celebration of a children's day, various radio programs, etc.
In addition to these municipal projects are included several programs that will be developed in the districts of the northern part of the municipality, for which Social Rights will allocate a budget of 28,072 euros.
These activities, of leisure and free time, are linked to the carnival, the week of the book, schools of spring and Christmas, giving cover to the seasons of vacations.
At the same time, activities will be carried out to reinforce education and other activities of a playful and educational nature in Monteagudo, Raal, Cobatillas, Las Lumbreras, Campillo, Llano de Brujas and Santa Cruz, which will target 60 children and young people, aged between 8 and 18 years.
