The Science and Water Museum, celebrated on Saturday 11 February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations to achieve full and equitable access and participation in the Science for women and girls, as well as achieving gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
To support this initiative, the Museum of Science and Water of Murcia joins the Association of Scientific Dissemination of the Region of Murcia and the Association of Young Researchers of the University of Murcia in organizing various activities.
So, on Saturday morning, from 11 o'clock will be held the workshop 'DNA for a tube and other experiments!'
In which attendees will have the opportunity to discover science, learn identifying birds, plants and experimented with different chemical reactions.
Later, at 13 hours, the talk will take place 'Women in science: researchers or heroines?'
In which the vice president of the Association of Young Investigators of the University of Murcia, Alba Saura, and the president of the Association of Young researchers of the University of Murcia, Ana Isabel Ponce, will conduct a tour of the research performance of key women in The various areas of knowledge to reach the current state of research in relation to women.
The route will be carried out in a narrative-dialogical way, bringing the public closer to the strangers in history, to those not named, who do not appear in textbooks or statistics.
