This initiative, carried out in the region of Thies by 28 specialized technicians, ophthalmologists, anesthetists, nursing technicians, opticians and logistics technicians, has been possible by donating 345 graduated glasses and 450 sunglasses to people who needed them and did not have them Resources to acquire them.
The campaign has been developed in the facilities of the Hospital of Thiadiaye, where they have taken advantage of their diaphanous rooms to assemble all the equipment of consultation and surgery of the Transportable Hospital Oftalmológico 'City of Murcia', that Blue in Action has moved to Senegal and Has installed for the intervention.
With the purpose of bringing ophthalmological assistance to especially depressed rural groups, who lack access to this type of assistance and who live in countries with a high degree of underdevelopment, in 2010, with the support and collaboration, among others , Of the City of Murcia, Azul en Acción built the Transportable Ophthalmological Hospital "City of Murcia".
