The Parks and Gardens Service, which is part of the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, led by José Guillén, has created a new workout circuit in Torreagüera.
Located on Sol street, it occupies an area of 400 square meters and allows to perform different types of muscular exercises for free and outdoors.
The Department of Modernization, Urban Quality and Participation has just finished fifth in the municipality.
Thus, in this space have installed on a blue carpet artificial lawn, a total of nine devices that allow you to exercise all the muscles of the body performing abs, jumps, pushups and dominated, among other exercises.
It is a matter, Guillén recalls, of a "clear commitment to the promotion of sport, exercise and to give as wide use as possible to the green spaces of the municipality." A measure that adds to the installation of canine recreational areas, Playgrounds, areas for jogging, gerontogymnastics and endless options that now have green spaces. "
To carry out the construction of this exercise space 'workout' has been useful to a municipal plot that was in disuse in a space of about 400 square meters.
This new area approaches the street exercise for all those who want to practice 'calisthenics', a sport that every day gets more followers in countries like Germany, United States, Russia, Ukraine or Spain.
The councilman explains that it is "a type of apparatus to perform exercises that were being claimed by neighbors in the area and is in full swing."
Therefore, Guillén stresses, "the council has not wanted to stay behind and has begun to install in various parts of the municipality this type of` mini gyms'.
The main peculiarity of this type of apparatus is that the force is realized mainly with the weight of your own body, using the upper part of the body, although there are also devices to strengthen the lower part.
It should be remembered that at the end of last year the Park and Gardens Service improved the accessibility of this garden, laying pavement and planting several meadows and trees that shade and improve the aesthetics of this area.
