The Sardinero Eros group will celebrate its 30th anniversary this weekend.
The events will take place next February 11 at 9 pm in the halls of the restaurant Casa de la Luz Zarandona.
For the first time since its birth in 1987 the sardine group launches the I Gala "Con Corazón".
In the course of the celebration, the first awards will be given to communication, solidarity and the Heart Eros de Oro.
The sardineros thus extol their god Cupid given the proximity of Valentine's Day and the occasion of the beginning of spring.
The gala will be presented by Eva Abril who was Dońa Sardina 2011.
During the festive activities of Saturday will take place the performances of the monologueist Rope and the musical group Jaleo Latino.
The Myth of Eros (Roman Cupid or Love)
Eros is the god of love.
At first it was considered to be born along with Gea and Chaos.
It is also thought that it was born of the Original Egg engendered by the Night, whose two halves when breaking formed the sky and the earth respectively.
Other versions that insisted on seeing him as a lesser god, and which took away the symbolism of the inner cohesion of the cosmos, pointed out that Eros was an intermediary genius between men and gods, and that he was born from Poros (Resource) and Penía ( poverty).
It is characterized by being a restless and unsatisfied force.
The most accepted and widespread tradition was that he was the son of Aphrodite (goddess of love) and Hermes (messenger of the gods).
Thanks to the classical poets Eros acquired his most well-known physiognomy that is that of a winged child, who has fun bringing the restlessness to the hearts.
However, it has been discovered that there are several genealogies for this god.
He is sometimes considered the son of Hermes and Artemis, or of different Aphrodites.
Thus there would be a Love, son of Hermes and Aphrodite Urania, Anteros - opposite or reciprocal love - son of Ares (god of War) and Aphrodite (daughter of Zeus and Dione).
Another would be the son of Hermes and Artemis (daughter of Zeus and Persephone) and this is the one that identifies more with the traditional winged child.
It may be according to certain representations that inflame them with the flame of love, or that they hurt them with the arrows.
But however naive her appearance, the powerful and great god is divined at heart.
His mother has many considerations and some fear.
One of the most well-known stories and also very romantic where Eros intervenes, is in which he falls in love with the mortal Psyche, and how he loses his beloved and then recovers her, marrying her.
Sometimes it is called Love or Love, and its Latin version is known as Cupid.
