The City of Murcia joins the celebration of the World Day of rare diseases, which takes place on February 28, after receiving the proposal that the Association of Rare Diseases Dgenes has done this morning the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz Caballero.
Ruiz Caballero has been able to learn about the new projects that will be launched from the entity, including the construction of a new comprehensive center for people with fragile X syndrome.
The association was born nine years ago with the purpose of creating spaces of exchange and coexistence between relatives and parents with children with rare diseases, and to advance in the improvement of the quality of life of those affected.
In addition to the headquarters of the association, located in Totana, have been opened delegations in Murcia, Northwest, Campos del Rio, Lorca and Alhama de Murcia.
Ruiz Caballero has indicated, that from the City of Murcia, "we are collaborating and we will support the association and the collective of rare diseases, sensitizing the population to bring the reality of these pathologies."
