The Governing Council of the University of Murcia (UMU), which met today in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Letters, in the campus of La Merced, has approved the procedure for admission to undergraduate studies for the next course, in Which maintains the general lines of the current course.
The approved regulations include the specific criteria for the allocation of places, referring to the temporary priority, preference and valuation, as well as the places reservation quotas, the valid subjects in the admission phase and the weighting parameters applicable with respect to each student Who may request admission into one of the teachings offered.
The process will continue to be regional, as it also affects the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, as it has been occurring for years, which establishes a common procedure and the joint implementation of admission processes within the Autonomous Community.
The procedure includes a wide variety of applicants, including students who are in possession of the Bachelor of Education in the Spanish Educational System or another declared equivalent, students in possession of the European Baccalaureate degree or the International Baccalaureate diploma and the Over 25 or 40 years old.
Nursing Practices
The Governing Council has also approved the agreement to be signed with the Murcian Health Service (SMS) for the practices of students of the attached School of Nursing in Cartagena, center whose integration process in the UMU is underway.
Teaching positions
This governing body of the University has approved, on the other hand, a wide offer of teaching places, which exceeds one hundred.
Five of them correspond to medical assistants for the School of Nursing attached to Cartagena;
35, to full time part-time doctor helpers, and 13 doctor assistants for staff turnover.
The agreement also contemplates the preparation of a public offer of employment, with a total of 54 places, to work for university holders and for the promotion to professors.
At the beginning of the session, the rector of the UMU, José Orihuela, informed the Council of the recent achievement of quality international stamps by the Faculties of Informatics and Education, and congratulated their respective deans, Pedro Miguel Ruiz and Antonio de Pro.
