The Faculty of Communication and Documentation of the University of Murcia (UMU) is hosting today and tomorrow the annual meeting of the University Network of Information and Documentation (RUID), the equivalent of the conference of deans.
The meeting of the Network, coordinated by the dean of the UMU Faculty, Francisco Javier Martínez, is attended by representatives of the 17 Spanish universities that provide information and documentation studies at the undergraduate, master's and doctorate levels.
It will analyze issues such as the decrease in enrollments registered in some centers during the last courses or to what extent these processes affect the fusion of faculties envisaged in the Complutense universities of Madrid and Barcelona.
In addition, during the meeting, which will present the curriculum to be launched by Carlos III University for the coming course, there will be a debate on the call for research sexennies in this field and the demand for some progressiveness in the application of the Access criteria.
