Today opens at 17:00 hours the photographic exhibition 'A new look at the neighborhood of Los Rosales', in the cultural center of El Palmar.
The sample, given to the Neighborhood Council of El Palmar, has been produced within the framework of the social actions of the Project of the Area of ​​Rehabilitation and Urban Renewal of Los Rosales, promoted and coordinated by the Housing Department of the Department of Education, Relations with the Universities and Heritage of the City of Murcia.
The exhibition reflects through the photographs a before and after the technical and social interventions that is taking place in the neighborhood.
Many of the photographs were taken by the neighbors themselves who have participated in different social actions.
In the same, it is observed the great importance and interest of the neighbors, for the transformation that is taking place through the ARRU actions of the neighborhood of Los Rosales.
ARRU de los Rosales began with a first phase intervening in fourteen blocks of buildings, this phase is already finished.
It affected 379 homes and included the redevelopment of the Cactus Walk, Plaza del Olivar, Plaza de los Perales and Plaza de Los Cerezos.
The amount of this first phase amounted to 1,687,816.08 euros, financed under the Housing Plan by the City of Murcia, by 60.4%, CARM by 7.83% and the State by 31% 7%.
The second phase already awarded, with the planned start of the works in a matter of days, will affect ten building blocks and 252 homes.
In this phase is planned the redevelopment of the Squares in this second phase are: Plaza de los Alhelíes and Plaza de Los Limoneros and Paseo de las Acacias.
