Through the Department of Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, directed by Antonio Navarro Corchón, the City of Murcia has prepared a varied program of environmental activities that starts on Saturday 28 January and extends until May.
In this way, Murcia can enjoy nature through guided routes, workshops in nature and environmental volunteer activities for all audiences.
This initiative promotes training, awareness and environmental awareness of all the population of the municipality, which can participate in a wide range of activities with different themes.
The new proposal is composed of 3 seminars and workshops of nature, 12 itineraries and guided environmental routes, and 6 activities of the municipal environmental volunteer program that will be developed in different natural spaces of the municipality.
During this period volunteer activities and guided itineraries will be held on Saturdays and workshops and seminars in nature will take place on Sundays.
La Huerta de Murcia and the Segura River are some of the areas where activities will be carried out such as maintenance of the ecological orchard, a walk through the corners of the orchard of Alquerías or volunteering days for the improvement of the river bank.
In this edition the environmental volunteer program will have the collaboration of different associations of the municipality as ANSE, ADESGA and ASTRAPACE.
The Contraparada will be the scenario where a practical workshop will be developed to know the vegetation and the singularity of this space.
The Municipal Forestry Park Majal Blanco or the farm Los Ginovinos will also host different activities like guided environmental routes and volunteer days for the maintenance of its biodiversity.
Through this program it is also proposed to visit other natural spaces of the municipality of great environmental relevance and patrimonial through routes such as the flowering of the almond tree in La Murta or the route of the Monteagudo Castles.
Seminars and Workshops of Nature in the White Majal
There are 3 intense workshops (2 in the Majal Blanco Nature Hall and 1 in the La Contraparada Center) in direct contact with two of the best preserved natural environments of the municipality.
The workshops are held on Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Registration is 5 euros (free for children under 17, over 65 and unemployed people).

Guided environmental itineraries and routes
During this period, 12 activities are scheduled for Saturdays, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, which will bring us closer to various enclaves and environments of environmental interest.

For this period, 6 activities have been scheduled for voluntary action, which take place on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Parallel to all this programming, we continue to serve visitors at the Environmental Information Points located the White Majal (Plaza de las Moreras) and La Contraparada, every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
And in the Visitor Center of El Majal Blanco will attend the public on Sundays from 9:30 to 14:00 hours.
